July Pop-Up Wrap Up

And with the conclusion of last Saturday's pop-up, we are done with July events.

We kicked off our back-to-back-to-back weekends with Pasadena's Rose Bowl Flea.  This was one of our favorite fleas to vend at, and attend, and we were thankful to get a spot in here after a whole year of trying!  We were last here July 2021, and lucked out with a bigger spot this year.  Celestiff herself came down to showcase some of her merch and it was a fun-filled weekend despite the heat.  This is always one of those fleas that you have to dedicate a whole day to when visiting.  For vendors, it's a 4AM load-in and pretty much a 12hr day as load-out starts around 3PM.  VIP entrance gets you in as early as 5AM - you'll find a lot of the good vintage finds coming in early (not to mention beating the heat and the parking backlog).  Parking is free but there is an entrance fee (that's usually cheaper when purchased online).  Overall this once-a-month (every second Sunday of the month) is something we always recommend to visitors, vendors and just folks looking for a Sunday Funday.

The following week we had vended for the first time at Beach Flea.  This is one we had been eyeing for some time, as other vendors had recommended it to us, but was unfortunately not a fan fave for the shop.  We had paid for a premium spot but seemed to be away from the main foot traffic, and the lack of vendors (and attendees) was disappointing.  We're not sure if we would want to give this a go again, and the sentiment was shared amongst the other vendors we spoke to as well.  All the same, if you're a LB local, check them out every other weekend at LBCC.  Parking and admission is free and they usually do giveaways for the first 100 folks that come in!

Our last pop-up of the month was again in Pasadena - this time at 1042 Flea.  Conveniently located next to Crossroads in the heart of Old Town, we were hopeful for great foot traffic despite the sweltering temperatures.  Load-in time was a little tight, considering the haul-in but thankfully we were able to drive-in for load out.  Would definitely recommend this flea again - the organizers were super great in communicating and receiving feedback, and although we'll be out of office for their August & September events, we definitely hope to come back to this location in the fall.  Right now they're scheduled for once a month so keep an eye out on their Instagram for dates!
